Benjamin Drewe
DHM, Dip. Acu. MNHAA is a practicing Medical Herbalist and
Founder and CEO of Rainforest Herbs and its parent Company Asia Botanicals. Ben has over 15 years experience as a clinical herbalist, and utilizes his vast experience in Western Herbal medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda to provide a holistic evidence based approach to natural health. He balances his time betwen treating clients and focusing on the development of tropical medicinal plant products in his R&D lab, with special focus on treatments for respiratory, reproductive and antiviral medicinal plants. The herb samples Ben collects in his ethnobotanical studies in the rainforest are analyzed for their chemical composition and selected species are subject to ongoing studies based on the wisdom gained from their traditional usage combined with an understanding of herbal pharmacology according to naturopathic guidelines.
Ben
also conducts his own regular training on Malaysian Herbal Medicine
as well as regularly delivers presentations at herbal conferences and
scientific symposiums on his herbal research. His extensive research
is pioneering the use of herbs from the worlds rainforests and the understanding of the importance of rainforest preservation.
